The minute I saw this compact little beauty, Veronica spicata 'Ulster Blue Dwarf', I had to have it for my garden border. It has such a strong purple-blue colour that it's a real eye catcher and, to top it all, it's attractive to butterflies and bees. It forms a neat clump of dark green foliage with upright flower spikes. It can be grown in a pot.
