EVERGREEN FERN - DRYOPTERIS AFFINIS CRISPA

A new addition to my fern collection is Dryopteris affinis Crispa.  What drew me to this one is that it is evergreen and also that it is of limited size when mature.  Some ferns can be really big and there is no room in my garden for monster ferns.

Again, this is a fern which prefers only indirect light; filtered or dappled light, in other words.  See Light and Shade Terms in Gardening.  It achieves a height of only 40cm (16in), the label states (although I find that everything I grow, outgrows the label info!  Dryopteris affinis Crispa is considered a dwarf version of Dryopteris affinis Cristata The King and I understand it will get the curly edges along the frond.  It hasn't yet but I hope it does.
