HYDRANGEA PANICULATA 'WHITE LADY' IN AUTUMN

Overnight winds have brought down all the leaves from the neighbouring ash trees and my garden is littered with them.  It's quite beautiful out there, in a messy kind of way, and my progressive balance problem means that I am adopting a more natural effect for the garden. The cluttered look.  I was pleased to see that the Hydrangea paniculata 'White Lady' has dressed herself in golden colours now autumn is here. Those massive flower heads are lasting for months! If the dustbin men hadn't kept throwing the dustbin lid on the shrub and damaging it when it was very very young, the display would be even more fantastic but, as it is, all the flower heads are at the top of a single stem. Even so, it looks lovely and just requires a bit of staking.
