GENTIANA at RHS GARDENS, HARLOW CARR

I visited the Alpine House at the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Gardens in Harlow Carr, near Harrogate, yesterday.  It's one of my favourite spots in the gardens as it is forever warm, full of light, and there's always something of interest going on.  Yesterday was the turn of the Gentiana family to dazzle the spectators' eyes.  Although there was a white variety or two, it is the blues which caught my attention.  Some are as bright as Ceylon sapphires.  My favourite was 'Braemar' which is similar to 'Starlight'.
